The Stop Haversham Wind Farm Action Group has been set up by local residents who oppose the Wind Farm being proposed at Hill Farm by RWE npower renewables.
We strongly support the drive for renewable energy, but do not believe ON-SHORE wind turbines reduce carbon emissions. In fact traditional power stations have to run inefficiently in order to boost output when wind power fails.
Not NIMBY - NIABY = NOT IN ANYONE'S BACKYARD
Due to lucrative indirect subsidies, several multi-national power companies are targeting this area to site wind turbines. Up to 100 could be encircling the countryside to the north of Milton Keynes if all the proposals go ahead! -see MAP
